Gain knowledge and skills required to work safely at heights in operational roles across the resources and infrastructure industries.

The course covers identifying work requirements and instructions for undertaking the task, accessing and installing equipment, performing the work at heights and cleaning up the work area.

What you’ll learn in this course

  • Apply correct fitting of full body harnesses
  • Carry out hazard identification, risk assessment, and control
  • Barricading and exclusion zones
  • Understand the Legislation, Regulations, and Standards applicable to working at heights
  • Understand ground clearance and the pendulum effect

Entry Requirements

Participants must have the ability to read, write and understand English.

  • Assessment

    A candidate cannot be deemed competent unless they are able to demonstrate competency in all assessments. Each candidate has a maximum of two additional opportunities to demonstrate competency without additional fees applying.

    Your Statement of Attainment does not have an expiry date, however, industry standards recommend retraining every two years.
